[jdom-interest] Ampersand question

This is a temporary bug. It will be fixed when take away all the 
getSerializedForm() methods and put their functionality in some other 
class. (Which class that is we're still arguing about.) Indeed it was 
issues like this that led us to decide that we really did need to put 
them in a different class.
