as good as it can be for Java developers."  In this case, I expect them both
to vehemently object to the suggestion above.

The objection from the "XML purity before Java utility" camp will be that
the XMLOutputter might output invalid XML, and should therefore remain
unchanged.

They will no doubt be joined by the chorus of "Minimalism before Utility"
adherents, who advocate against the inclusion of an HTMLOutputter utility
class as "You could write it yourself" -- why they expect that hundreds of
independent implementations of the same thing is better baffles since by
being on this list they admit to seeing the usefulness of common, shared
code libraries.
